There are three games today:
San Antonio at Memphis, Game 4 - Grizzlies lead 2-1
Portland at Dallas, Game 5 - Series tied 2-2
Oklahoma City at Denver, Game 4 - Thunder leads 3-0
Picking a Nugget is obvious today, but after picking Nene and Lawson, I am not sure if I wanna pick any other Nugget or not.
I think Mavs should beat Blazers, but series it tied at 2-2 and given the fact that both these teams were able to beat each other at opponent’s home court in regular season, nothing is certain. On my personal assumption of Mavs going to round 2, I already picked Aldridge and I don’t wanna pick any other player from these teams right now.
Initially I thought Spurs will beat Grizzlies, but they are down 1-2 and playing in Memphis tonight. It is likely that Grizzlies will win tonight and Spurs will be down by 3-1, and then it will be very tough for them to come back and since I haven’t pick any player from these teams, why not pick a Spur? It won’t be that bed even if they will win as picking just one player won’t harm that much, correct?
Well, we have seen good players not producing enough PRA and there is no guarantee that they will produce their average PRA on the night we pick them. So far in the playoffs, we have seen Amare (10), Kobe (16), Pau Gasol (14), Boozer (18), Miller (18), Horford (21), Randolph (19) and few more poor performances. So I am not gonna pick a player from a team that I think might advance and will pick a player from a team I am confident that will loose. So I am picking Kenyon Martin from Denver tonight as I am confident that Nuggets will be eliminated in first round.
